Creato da Joseph Opinel oltre 120 anni fa, il N° 07 resta un simbolo del marchio. È ideale per il campeggio e i pic-nic, ma vi accompagnerà sempre anche nella vita quotidiana. La sua lama in acciaio inox di 8 cm garantisce un taglio eccellente e un'ottima resistenza alla corrosione. Il suo manico in faggio verniciato assicura una presa sicura e piacevole. L'anello di sicurezza permette di bloccare la lama in posizione aperta o chiusa.L'acciaio inossidabile martensitico utilizzato nelle lame OPINEL è ottimizzato per garantire un'elevata resistenza alla corrosione e alte prestazioni meccaniche. La lama ha un eccellente tagliente e un'elevata resistenza all'abrasione (usura) che le consente di resistere al contatto regolare con materiali duri, come la ceramica, prima di dover essere riaffilata. A differenza dell'acciaio al carbonio, l'acciaio inox ha il vantaggio di non richiedere manutenzione in condizioni d'uso ordinarie. Tuttavia, può raggiungere i suoi limiti quando viene messo a contatto prolungato con un ambiente aggressivo (acido, acqua salata, detergenti, ecc.). Durezza 55-57 HRC.
