Het symbolische opbergmeubilair, dat de afgelopen 50 jaar in plastic werd geproduceerd, wordt nu geleverd in een bioplastic gemaakt van landbouwafval. Landbouwafval kan niet worden gebruikt als voedsel voor mens of dier, dus er gaat niets verloren. Door micro-organismen te gebruiken, verandert Kartell het afval in een plasticachtige biomassa die kan worden geraffineerd en tot een hoogwaardig materiaal kan worden gemaakt.
